Paddleboarding

Experience the magic of paddleboarding in Glencoe. Step off the mountains, through the forest and onto our boards to discover the adventure, wildlife and nature!
Rugged Paddleboard Glencoe was setup by Rob and Keren who love nothing more than sharing the experience of paddleboarding under the mountains that they love. They have both spent time living and paddling around the world in Europe, North America and Australasia. Through Rugged Paddleboard they aim to get more people out on the water and experiencing the magic of Glencoe.

You will learn to paddle in a safe progressive way from the Lochan Experiences through to The Grand Tour on Loch Leven and beyond.

Boat Trips

Why not try a boat trip in the area and experience something a little bit different.

Seaxplorer Fast Boat Trips are an amazing way to experience the area from the water. The area is abundant with wildlife – Seabirds, Eagles, Porpoises, Seals, Otters and Wild Goats – no two trips are the same and each one is made even better by the commentary, knowledge and expertise of your dedicated Skipper! From their powerful RIB (Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats) you can explore the waters around Glencoe, including the picturesque ancient burial Isles at the foot of the Pap of Glencoe mountain, Bishop’s Bay, Ballachulish Bridge, Lismore, Castle Stalker and much more.

Kayaking

The West coast of Scotland sees more than its fair share of rain, but this means that the rivers can be a mecca for kayakers.  Both the River Etive and the River Coe offer the experienced paddler a serious challenge.  A little further afield, the River Orchy has sections at all grades.  Why not bring your kayak and immerse yourself into the freshest river water in the UK.

For more sedate paddling, then Loch Leven gives you one of the most dramatic mountain backdrops with the Pap of Glencoe towering above Glencoe and visible for the full length of the Loch.
