Data Protection

We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that details relating to you are kept secure in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018. The purpose of these regulations is to protect the privacy of individuals by preventing the misuse or unauthorised use of personal information you provide, and giving rights to you as individuals to know what information we hold about you, and your ability to amend or delete information we hold.

All information we collect is used explicitly for internal record keeping and for the purposes of processing your room reservation. It is not processed for any other purposes. We limit the information we request to what is necessary and aim to ensure it is accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date and in a form which permits your identification for no longer than is necessary to process your stay with us.

We do not collect information for the purposes of marketing, whether that is by post, emails, or other forms of electronic newsletters.

As an accommodation provider, we are required to comply with the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972, and we need to collect the following information from guests on their arrival:

  • Full name
  • Nationality

For all who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth guests we need to collect:

  • Passport number and place of issue (or other document which shows their identity and nationality)
  • Details of their next destination (including the address, if known) on or before departure.

We must keep each guest’s details for at least 12 months. These details have to be available for inspection by a police officer or duly authorised person at all times.

Unless we are negligent in exercising our responsibilities then we shall not be held liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.

Any information relating to other individuals supplied by you, you will be deemed to have obtained their agreement/permission to this information being given to us.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, accidental loss, destruction or damage, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
